We travelled via Strasbourg, arriving the following day in Garda. The hotel was the same as on our previous trip to Garda, and had a huge outdoor swimming pool, pleasant bar area, table tennis and a large restaurant. On the first morning we went to the top of Monte Baldo in a revolving cable car. The views of the lake and mountains were spectacular. We enjoyed pizza in Malcesine before spending the afternoon relaxing by the pool. Day two saw a day trip to Venice, where we hired private water taxis for a memorable ride down the Grand Canal, followed by climbing the campanile and free time in St Mark's Square. We then had a further ride to the colourful island of Burano. The third day included half a day in the huge outdoor waterpark, Aquaparadise in Caneva World, followed by a boat ride across the lake to the pretty town of Sirmione where everyone ate at least 10 scoops of ice-cream! The fourth day was spent in Italy's largest theme park, Gardaland, followed by some much needed time in the hotel pool to cool off. On the last day we spent more time by the pool and then went go-karting in Bussalengo. The evening was spent in the beautiful town of Torri del Benaco where we ate in local restaurants whilst watching the sun set over the lake.

During our stay we gave three night-time concerts. The first was in Pietramurata, a small retirement village north of the lake, where the locals laid on food and drink to welcome us. The second was on the lakeside in Gardone Riviera, a beautiful setting which attracted an audience of around 200 people. The final concert was only a few minutes from the hotel, by the lake in Garda itself.
