Saturday: early departure from Sheffield, followed by an overnight stop in Dijon
Sunday: arrived at the Kangourou Centre, Frejus, in time for a dip in the pool before dinner, followed by a rehearsal at the hotel.
Monday: the morning was spent relaxing in the hotel, swimming in the pool or playing tennis, boules or table tennis. The afternoon was spent in Nice where we had free time to explore and then took a petit train ride around the city. This was followed by a visit to the village of Eze where we had a guided tour around the Fragonard perfume factory and visited the exotic gardens overlooking the Mediterranean. We gave an evening concert in Monaco Summer Park, with views of the city and the harbour.
Tuesday: the morning was spent on a glass-bottomed boat trip around the Cap d'Antibes and the Bay of Millionaires, followed by free time in the seaside resort of Juan les Pins. In the afternoon we played tropical minigolf in Mandelieu, and returned to the hotel for free time in the pool. In the evening we went ten-pin bowling and ice-skating in Frejus.
Wednesday: we spent the morning in the excellent Aquatica waterpark in Frejus. In the afternoon we had some time on the beach in Frejus, followed by a trip to Grasse. After exploring the town we gave a concert in the Place de Couers bandstand, which had stunning views across the valley. The acoustic in this bandstand was excellent due to a parabolic dome in the roof.
Thursday: after spending the morning relaxing in the hotel we set off for St Maxime, from where we took a boat trip to St Tropez. After a short time to visit the town we boarded a boat again, this time to picturesque Port Grimaud, a village set on a network of canals. We then continued our journey by coach to Le Lavandou where we were given a meal before our evening concert on the promenade. The audience for this concert was around 400 people and the atmosphere was brilliant!
Friday: travelled to Paris
Saturday: a full day in Disneyland Paris, visiting both the Walt Disney Studios and the Disneyland Park. We also gave a concert on the Fantasyland stage, where we experienced the excellent Disney technical set up. A memorable day for all ages!
Sunday: returned to Sheffield
